For those who don't know where this song is from, it's a B-side for Snowden, and i'm amazed it wasn't realeased on the Some Cities album.
It sounds to me like it's about a kid who is lying awake at night because he's thinking about the bullying he's getting at school.
I'm not too sure about the first bit of it, but if you look at the 2nd verse, he can't sleep because he's thinking about all the things that the bullies do to him. The 3rd verse, he's doing a typical schoolboy thing,and locking himself away in the toilets. People try to help him, such as teachers, but it just makes the situation worse. And the rest of the song says to me that he's trying to tell himself that it all OK, and that it's not really happening. But he knows that he's lying to himself and that it keeps happening.
Well, thats what it says to me anyways. The song's available as a pay-for download on www.doves.net, and it's definatly worth the quid to pay for it!
