First you're a boy, then a teenager (grown up wannabe which lasts passed 19 for most), then you reach manhood and try to get back what you had before you "Lost My Better Half".
To me, embracing life is acting like a kid when you can/should. So, to me, the beginning is living life like a mature child. "Until you become" [a man], "I gotta run" (ignorant/arrogant people are very annoying). "You could never run too fast" [idiots don't value time and can't slow down, when the goal is just...] "to finally reach the beginning" [enjoy life].
