To me, the "I want to be much, then more" part represents not ever feeling like you're good enough, that no matter how hard you work, how hard you try, you always come up short of the prize, which, in this case, is a girl's affections. I kinda felt this first hand, back in high school, when I was damn near obsessed with this girl, but could never compete with her boyfriend, who pretty much outclassed me in every way. I think Chino had a similar experience, which he expresses quite poignantly in this song. Definitely my favorite Deftones song, one of my favorite songs ever. Period.
