I agree this is an awesome song to kick off Rob's solo effort. It has the upbeat tempo and feelgood, singalong factor to it but the lyrics are still honest. It's got the trademark heartbreak in it but it's much more hopeful and upbeat than a lot of Matchbox 20 songs. I think it's just about how you feel the world crashing in around you when someone hurts you ('everybody get down'), but in the end, you move on ('you're not the best thing that I knew')
