Anyway I think this song is about wanting to be with someone that you can't be with for whatever reason. However, Brian doesn't want to "give up on the dream" or "give up on the wanting", although he knows its probably impossible for him to get what he wants. But then again, this is the same guy who told us to 'protect him from what [he] wants'...:)
Side-note: This song hasn't geown on me yet. I'm really worried how good the new album is gonna be. This song only debuted 2 days ago, but I can already tell it doesn't have the kick-ass qualities of former Placebo singles...
