i think it means that him and his girl had it all planned out and it never worked out , that i think he wishs they never really met, hes been going through so much pain, when he says " it only huts when your eyes are open", your eyes are open pretty much every waking hour of the day so hes saying hes like living in his pain, and yeah, its so hard to read this song, but you can like feel the pain coming from it and how hes just so hurt and doesnt even know what to do cause she lied so much.. which is what i did to my boyfrined all the time..
