if the public doesnt want to read and learn the media and everything else will give the public what they want. and since what the public wants is hardly education the media give them crap. crap tv, crap news, crap schooling....and the kids who grow up on this crap tv and crap media dont get an eageriness to learn instilled upon them. instead of being interested in dinosaurs and the civil war they interested in who is having sex with who and why brad left jennifer (ie.... TV set - a face to respect, albeit hardly dressed) and since the public doesnt have any yearning to learn and read and etc theyre not going to get it and its going to go on and on.
rob is asking why even bother when everything sucks so much. voting, tv, reading... etc. why bother trying to learn when theres no point because everything is so crappy and corrupt? so he begs for someone to give us hope.
