I totally agree with you stoolhardy. I think the song is meant to just get the party started and get everybody dance how ever their style is even if it makes you look stupid. Most of their songs are dance/club oriented so their lyrics don't make too much sense because you are just supposed to get your groove on, not pay attention to the words.
