Matter Of Time Lyrics

The drums and guitar in the beginning lay out a serious element and it changes directions entirely toward the end and contributes to the songs meaning.

This song is all about denial. For example when mediating in two sided arguments, the side state first is always more influential than the second because the first lays out the base coat and is hard to overrule

"Put on that deserving tone and don't forget that this was all your fault." The writer is explaining that the complainer is unjustified in the statement and undeserving of sympathy. This is about how the person that is bening sung about is in a state of denial and lives in that state.

"Cause all we can't deny is just a lie. And when we try to just get by We just can't get past ourselves."

In short, this girl (presumably) is placing the blame in the wrong place because of her mentality of denial, and in a matter of time (where the song changes directions for a more positive sound, like an epiphany) she will learn her problem and change it.

I should turn this thing in for a term paper, I looked way too deep, hah!
