The person in this song is being forced into combat, but they feel as though they cannot protest and refuse to fight because it is their patriotic duty- "no one listens, but im ok with it." "patrolling for enemies" "im waited for, they're at my door". The soldier is basically divulging their inner thoughts on war and fighting, he is scared, cold, and lonely- but he promises to return "but i'll be back again"
