the piano opening is great... and so are the lyrics. a rather optimistic song... my favourite line is "believe your truth is not my truth"... very poignant and straightforward. "believe that hate will never die" makes me think that 1) it will never die, so don't bother try to eradicate it; and 2) we can BELIEVE that it will never die, but we can solider on and make sure that it WILL die... i'd like to think the second interpretation is the more accurate one, since it fits in with the positive perspective that's taken for much of the song... the devil's by my side, but he's not going to destroy... it's hard when you realize that you'll never have what you've tried to find, but it doesn't mean that you won't find it! don't let the devil (or the negative) control you... great message.
