Well, I don't know Ville, as someone here emplied that she/he did but.. I've watched an interview, where he said that he thinks the song is a celebration to love. That he thinks funerals are supposed to be just that, celebrations to lifes passed. He said something like: "the priest allways tries to make people cry, but when my grandmother died, I could still hear the sound of her slippers on the ground, and still smell the pancakes she used to make" aso. So I don't think this is about a Bad realtionship at all. I think that with like "he was the mood, painting you with his glow so vulnerable and pale" and that stuff, he means more that all relationships has it flaws, and that even if they hurt you, you should remember like the beauty of the moonlight, the fire, the sun and the wind you know. The funeral is about remembering and honoring the times passed.
Love is about honouring and remembering the hearts, not only your own, but the person you were in love with.
