I think this entire song is based on Buddhist and general spiritual beliefs. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) he was the only Beatle that stuck with Buddhism.

"Use my body like a car, Taking me both near and far Met my friends all in the material world"

I thought about these beliefs and I'm not sure but I think the above quote means that he doesn't care about physical things. He doesn't care about how people look, he only cares about them. Thats what it means to me anyway.

"Met them all there in the material world John and Paul here in the material world Though we started out quite poor We got 'Richie' on a tour Got caught up in the material world"

^^ Obvioulsy about the Beatles. And by richie, he probably means that they started caring less about the music and more about the band.

I dunno... generally some of these lyrics sound suicidal. e.g. "I hope to get out of this place by the LORD SRI KRSNA'S GRACE" Among others.

So thats all I have so far... maybe I'll update if I figure out more.

"We got 'Richie' on a tour" is a reference to Richard Starkey, better known to all the cats and chicks as Ringo Starr. Beatles' manager Brian Epstein dismissed the original drummer Pete Best, and replaced him with Ringo in 1962.

@Jimbozo "Get out of this place" does not refer to suicide, but to escaping the cycle of death and rebirth, which is part of George's Hindu (not Buddhist, though they are similar) belief system.
