i feel this song is about how you feel when you try hard to be what God wants you to be like, but you slip and afterwards you cant believe what you just did.
you have asked Jesus to forgive you and even though you know He has, you still find it hard to deal with regret and the feeling that you have failed God.
but you deeply want Jesus to stay close to you and earnestly vow to try harder next time; not to fail Him.
