I don't think that having friends would mean that you're not faithful to your boyfriend or your girlfriend!! But I think what she calls emotional affair is just when you kinda fall in love with someone, when you have fantasies (?) involving this person, even if there is no love story between you and this person, then it's like being unfaithful, somehow!
