The lyrics as posted match that of the Cd's inlet. That said, randomconvogirl definitely has the correct lyrics, for anyone who has ever actually heard the song. I'm not sure why that is, I have seen similar mistakes in a Sum41 Cd inlet. Perhaps it was original how the song was intended to be sung.
Now as to how it sounds: This song, along with Paper Tigers, has allowed me to seperate Thrice's genre from that of any other band. It takes the vocals to a level that has been described as "barking". The most extreme cases of this occur in the lines "we laugh at honor and are shocked when we find knives in our backs" and simply "look in my eyes". It is not screamo, and yet it is beyond yelling. Simply put, no other band has sucessfully recreated that kind of sound, so for me this song is poster example of how unique Thrice can be.
