I think the lyrics are visions of Sirs Jagger and Richards with some bits of sly comedy thrown in, and overall not meant to be taken too seriously or too literally. As for the 1960's, even without an Internet, they were way more profoundly radical, more original and more 'down-in-the-streets daring' than that which passes for "radical" today.

I think it's about the ways of society back in the 60s. I also think it's about living together before marriage.
