Basically it's a song about no matter what either of them do, they'll still love each other. Like, no matter what he sees or hears, she'll always believe him, and no matter "whatever she conquers" (like, having sex with other people), he'll always be her home (she can always go back to him). Then, in the chorus he sings, "You're beautiful my love when I close my eyes".. so she's beautiful when he metaphorically "closes his eyes" by ignoring the imperfect aspects of their relationship (i.e. her cheating on him). Not sure what the "under heaven's skies" part means, though. Anyway, I love this song, it's really beautiful.
