This song is about a girl who commit suicide (obviously) Of course, she's been contemplating it for a long while - "Still I know you want a strangle or a mouth full/Of gasoline or to be tied up and stoned" "The countless ways you thought to die no hesitation/Fantasize long enough, you know it just might come true" But now she's actually done it - "Your last stroll down the block was in the trunk of a car" The writer/singer/view point is writing letters to her, as if it was his way of dealing with his grief - "I wrote to tell you that I hope you’re feeling better" He hopes that all her pain has gone and she's happy where ever she is now, because he cares for her
