This is Strummer's reflection on how strange it is that people (himself included) like to go to the movies, pay for the ticket, and then watch somebody get murdered on a big screen in all its bloody glory.

One has piano and Mick Jones, the other has Strummer and drums. I think both have guitar, but it's been a while.
And it very well could be about heart of darkness- or at least, kind of. The Clash have referred to Apocalypse Now before- with Charlie Don't Surf. So the dark jungles could in fact be a reference to that movie, based on that book.
