Cover art for Crazy, crazy, crazy lyrics by Michael Franti And Spearhead

When I first heard this song I thought of the Passion, even though that's almost definitely not right. Is Michael Franti religious, does anyone know? Because a lot of his non-political songs could have religious influence. The "shine on" and "sing on" verses made me think of Jesus speaking to his people. Shine on because of his love for us, sing on and spread the word. And "your place in the sun" isn't hard to imagine. The chorus doesn't really fit in with this theory, but it could. Crazy, crazy, crazy could be referring to the craziness of the fact that the Romans condemned him to death.

I know this isn't right, but this is what the song means to me.
