well the answer to me is obvious, it is about randy blithe's opininion regarding the war in iraq and the whole deal that's gone down in the middle east, but to me, a U.S. Navy Sailor, this song instills a sense of pride, both in myself, and those who serve along with me, they have the balls to go out and do things nobody else is willing to do, without knowing why or where, we just do as we're asked. the line, "you finally made it home, draped in the flag that you fell for," i realize nothing to me could be more beautiful, that if the worse should happen, i could have a burial worthy of an american serviceman. and despite the fact that "it's only getting worse" know that we're here and over there fighting only for you. not for bush, not for ourselves. for you.
