I dont know exactly this ones tricky but im thinking maybe the guy is finally getting the right medication, so now the songs stopped playing and he's "healing", so hes stopped hearing the song and thinking about what hes done and hes returning to normal. But then maybe towards the end (but I feel like i forgot something...) hes not completely better, the guilt and whatever is still in the background of his mind, and he hasnt been healed. But hes sorta given up hope now of ever being back to normal. Thats just kinda what i could put in words, its hard to phrase.
