This is the first song on the new album to make me say, "wow." The way it builds up from beginning to end is great. It is from Peter's perspective. It starts talking about the Passover (bitter herbs) and then goes to the Last Supper (bread and wine) and then Jesus tells Peter that everyone will leave him, even Peter. Peter can't believe it. In the last stanza, Peter is lost and confused after Jesus is taken into custody. Hey disowns Jesus three times, and then Jesus is lead past him, their eyes meet and the rooster crows just like Jesus told Peter it would (the aweful sound, the sound of prophesy fulfilled.) Love this song!
