first of all it's not really a "song" and she doesn't sing in this...it is spoken word...i think this is spoken word so that melodies and harmonies and shit like that don't distract the listener from what she is actually saying....and from the viscious beauty of her words....of course on the surface some of it is about the abuse and her home life as a child...but with otep it is always so much more than what's on the surface....it is quite possible that she's talking about all of the vices and downfalls of society as a whole...and her determination to be more than that...
