How has no one commented on this song? It is decidedly my famous James Taylor song and one of the most compelling love songs I know of. It is about what a emotional mess he is--lower than low--and then when he's with her, it's all gone, and that's all he needs.
That said, the "Every now and then" part goes before the "It isn't what she's got to say" part...and then the chorus repeats.
