Yeah, this song is really the essence of the eighties :-) It's not so bad though and I think it has a lot of soul...that special 80's soul. Musically I'd compare their style to acts like level 42, peter brown and even scritti politti, and they have soul, don't they?
The lyrics may not be very intelligent, but I like it. I think it's about that special moment when girl meets boy and both of them are too shy to get in touch, although they feel there's something in the air...just watch the video, and you know what I'm talkin' about. Very romantic, since Limahl was the ultimate heartbreaker :-)
