this song has to be one of my favourite tori amos songs, it reminds me of a painting i did awhile back ~
i really believe it's about control in general, lost and gained control but in the end well, you're the one with the sword, you're the one with the power, it's up to you, really, what your future holds and all. its hard to disregard people telling you otherwise, pushing you around and stuff, dominating your thoughts and actions. but yeah... it really is all left up to you in the end. :) and then everyone who talks down to you and takes control of you... well, it would be satisfying to be able to take to the sky, you know. like showing them what you can really do.
