too beautiful. i basically think this song is about a couple getting intimate with each other for the first time. i think the line "breathe into my hands i’ll cup them like a glass to drink from" means the same thing EMS1603 said, about trust. And the "Are you still, still breathing" part is just about them being intimate for the first time, her still checking to make sure her partner is still alive, and making sure that he's still breathing because she is not.
my opinion may be heavily biased though, because in the movie "but im a cheerleader" this was used for the intimate "Discovering" scene.
