with this song i get the feeling he's very discontent with his life, like it's going nowhere and there's nothing good enough to talk about in it. like in many of the mcs songs, i think this song is about how he puts up a front to hide the unhappiness he has with his life - "it’s not much to talk about

i don’t wanna let you down" - i think means he's worried that one day people will see through his happy front and they'll be disappointed with what he actually is, so he doesnt want to let any one get too close.
