I love this song! It's about a girl being dumped by her boyfriend, and then moving on and finding someone better. Eventually her old boyfriend realizes the mistake he made and he wants her back. She doesn't want, or need, him now, though, and she laughs in his face. In order to spite him she makes sure he sees her with her new boyfriend, and says that he could have been the one to put the huge smile on her face that she now has, but he gave her up. Big mistake ;)
