anyhoo- i think this song is talking about the aftermath of a breakup. she hasnt given up yet but she knows she has to so that they can both move on. the line about the time zone could either be metaphorical of literal. i take it literally because i just broke up with my boyfriend because he moved. this song is definitely very fitting. 'i think i missed a step somewhere' - i see this as she feels the closure wasnt really closure, like it didnt end right and thats why she's still in between moving on and being attached. yet again very fitting. this is a great song i love it!
