I think it's about someone wanting to corrupt someone whom they want to get to know but they think the only way this will happen is if they are on equal grounds. They could both be shy people, but the only way to feel comfortable around each other is to be somewhat intoxicated. Does that make sense? The singer's voice sounds really evil and mischievious... he has a plan and he wants it to put it to action.
