This is an extremely powerful song. It is about Wyclef's relationship with his father, who is now deceased. "So so you think you can tell heaven from hell Blue skies from pain Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail A smile from a veil do you think you can tell Did they get you to trade your heros for ghosts Hot ashes for trees Hot air for a cool breeze Cold comfort for change" Now that his father is dead, Wyclef is asking him is his anger and frustration is now transformed in heaven. "We're jus two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year Runnin over the same old ground" Here he is talking about how now that his father is dead, their sould cannot meet, but are trying to find eachother. Wyclef's father ignited the fire that is his love of music. he is spreading this love, from the projects to the blocks.
