I believe it has something to do with struggling between worldly desires and human impulses (lust, greed, yada yada) I also thinks it talks a little about Satan and all those temptation thingys that he throws out there (mini-skirts, low cut shirts, and so on) while talking about how when you fall from God you often deny him "That so proudly puts to death
