its a shame i'm the first one to submit a comment! this is in my opinion the most beautiful DT song... its a gem! personally i like james labrie backed up by this sort of music... i prefer DT to do slower, cleaner, less technical songs... stuff like SILENT MAN, HOLLOW YEARS, THROUGH HER EYES...
SPEAK TO ME... what can i say? where can i begin?? deeply romantic, and oddly sentimental (in a good way)... personally i think the song is about unrequited love... or rather the love returned but not in the way the protagonist desires... he wants his beloved to open up... more... so that souls may touch.
a timeless song. its great music to make love to. great to play at weddings too! everytime i hear it i remember a voice, a smile, and a face.
Dream Theater can be both technical and clean, as well as emotional. Of course, this is an old comment, but look at TMOLS on Systematic Chaos and tell me I'm wrong.
