Maybe this is saying that who that person really is isnt as bad as they may think ?
And someone close to this person that can see what they are doing is trying to help them out and be like i know this isnt you, just be you. They can see that pretending to be someone else is hurting and ruining this person. And they're saying look ive done everything i can, this is up to you, only you can change you back to who you really are.

this so called 'burden' could be the one of tryign to help this person be who they really are. maybe it just reminds me of a friend of mine who just changed all of a sudden and tryign to be loyal to them and help them be who they really are again is a burden but saying that its not a heavy one is because this person does mean so much to you and u WANT to help them ?
