i think he's speaking in the voice of God. and God is claiming that he is not the same as man and that he is not man's god. God isn't taking responsibility for man. this is assuming that God is better than man and refuses to be associated with man.
'voice' is ambiguous on the album 'praise the fallen' because it doesn't fully explain his stance. i believe this ties in with 'saviour' on 'empires'. but it isn't till 'burning empires' that we hear 'saviour' in it's entirety. both 'voice' and 'saviour' are the fourth tracks on their respective albums.
