I was pretty young when this song came out, and very unexperienced. I hadn't been thru relationships and didn't understand the song. I used to ask, "why WOULDNT she believe him if he told her he loved her? And if he asked her to trust him, why would she think that he might be cheating?" Now, looking back I can laugh at my own naivete (is that the word) And I can say that I understand the song, and I can see where he is coming from. I have always liked this song so much, and now that I have experienced life a lil bit, and can find meanings behind the words, I just love it even more!
