I think that this song is about loss and that this girls significant other is off living his own life. She starts by confessing how hard it is to see him doing his thing, "Watching you live." Then she starts to find things out and she wants to question him but she really can't stomach the answers, Maybe I find the truth, Questions I can't bear." It's surely a sad song dealing with loss and a sarcastic question of "Are you here/there to hold my hand? The answer is no. I also think that she says, "My happy smile is broken."
