i adore this song, its so beautiful.. i think its about ending a bad relationship that was hurting both of them, and she dosnt necessarly want to end it. but he needs to for the both of them, and hes begging her not to "rescue" him and pick him up again.. to bascally come back to him as they break up

it could be Two long roads...
as in two seperate directions that they are leaving in both moving on, and he needs to follow himself and do whats best for him, and he cant let anyone come and try to save and do it for him.. to rescue him...
