This song reminds me of two people I fell too hard and too fast for, even though they were emotionally unavailable. Four years of desperation and on again/off again in each case.
Musically, this is one of my fave tracks off the album, and it's delivered with such angst from Joey Tempest that the lyrics pack a real punch. Problem is, nobody in Europe wrote the lyrics for this one; it was written by producer Beau Hill's wife, Fiona, and a few other collaborators.
Oh well, a great song is a great song, and the band clearly recognizes that as well.
