This song is amazingly beautiful.

This is what I think: He compares Jesus to being a Mexican boy. He is showing that Jesus was a human just like you and I in a much easier way to understand by making him seem only as equal as us.

Throughout the song I think he talks about how he sins. Then he talks about how he never gives back to Jesus and yet Jesus is always there for him.

"I never knew I was given the best one from the deck." He didn't realize how much he was getting.

"I never game him nothing I remember/Maybe a broken bottle if I had two." He only gave to Jesus when he had enough for himself. (Throughout the song he shows that he thinks about himself over Jesus, yet Jesus is always thinking about him over himself with very little in return.)

"Naked the Judas in me/Fell by the tracks but he lifted me high/Kissing my head like a brother and never asking why." He compares himself to Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus. Judas was also a villain. However, Jesus still picks him up and kisses him like a brother.

That's what I think this song means. It's amazingly beautiful.
