I love that it’s so simple, so true. In the first verse you can almost picture her walking home under a lonely street lamp, and we know she’s had a past, like everyone: “Time can bruise, violet indigo,”...that’s beautiful. But all she feels like doing is going home, where he is. The chorus has cheesy lyrics but they’re so simple and so honest that it makes it really beautiful.
