On the part where it sounds like he is going to say another line but but doesn't, it used to be

but Jack thought it was too harsh, so he took it out.
He also said that the song is about how with girls, there is such a big fuss over everything and how they are so particular about things. Like a woman would say something like "Oh I won't take Tylenol, it doesn't work for me," but a guy would just take and swallow whatever's handed to him.
