Still in the fantasy (see Dreamgirl and other Stand Up songs) I'll say the guy in the story overturned the dreamgirl's applecart BIG TIME to the extent that she took off and refused to return. But after a time, she returned. Hello again. She's back but she still has her angel and the guy mentions that her angel has what he wants--the dreamgirl, and the guys knows there's no way he's going to wrench her angel off of her. And the guy can't forget that day or her face because he felt really bad about whatever he did to upset her and obviously she brought it up a few times herself because it was awful! and she never really understood why this happened.
