I don't know what this song means. I have never been too concerned about that though. I just love the lyrics, whatever they mean. I kind of like their ambiguity. I saw them a few years ago at The Talking Head in Baltimore and met the drummer playing pool before the show. I asked them to play this and they were a bit surprised at the request. I guess it's not generally part of their sets. But anyways, I got it dedicated to me ("This is for that girl behind the fat girl!").... Awesome concert, awesome band, awesome song.
