I hear you guys. I downloaded an advanced copy of this album (don't worry, already have it pre-ordered) and when I first listened to it, I didn't know what to think. Like many people, I wanted and expected What it is to Burn Pt. 2. When they scrapped this album the first time and got a different producer, everyone was talking. Everyone was saying how much harder this album was going to be, and to be honest, it is.

But I think it's okay. I like it, a lot. Sometimes fans have a problem when a band evolves. I didn't like this stuff at first, but then I realized that it's not like Finch is abandoning their roots. I went to their show a couple nights ago and it was good to see that they still play their old stuff. They're just trying something different. You know how Project Mayhem sticks out like a sore thumb on WIITB? Well, that's because they were experimenting with that sound. Just think of this as a whole album of experimentation. Give it a shot, and you'll see you have nothing to fear.
