Whoa! Dude, I was just looking at the comments on another Visqueen song here while buying some tickets (although for the concert of a completely unrelated band) on Ticketmaster.com (as a last resort of course). The code word i had to type in to verify my humanity to Tickemaster was zircona.

As for what this song actually means? I have no idea. Since I'm already here I'll give it a shot though:

The song is a reflection on the artificial gesture of exchanging jewelry with loved ones and the futility of believing that you can force something of natural beauty to imbue some sort of eternal purity upon fallible human affections... Or not.

Special bonus factoid (in its original sense as a fact-free fiction appearing for the first time in print, and not meaning a true trivia tidbit): The imagery "war submarines of love" stems from Flo-Tard's one-time proximity to the Bangor Submarine Base and Bremerton Naval Shipyard on the Kitsap Peninsula.
