anyway, I don't believe it's about the evil in the world, or evil in general, it's about mankind... we think we'll be here till the end of the world, wheras, our legacy will die with us, and the planet will continue even after we are gone... it's just worded crazily... just think of the song as bieng sung by the planet, and not a man, and you'll see what I mean...
too me, it's about the planet bieng alive, knowing what is happening, and trying to stop what's happening, but with company's polluting more and more, and the president (be it a country's, or company's) not doing anything to stop it, but trying to make a profit off of it... and backing into the fear of god stable to stop the onlooker's from destroying the people in charge to make a better world...
